California schools will move to full-time remote learning, Gov. Gavin Newsom orders

Most California public and private school campuses will not reopen when the academic year begins under statewide rules announced Friday by Gov. Gavin Newsom, shifting instead toward full-time remote learning in response to the summer surge in coronavirus cases.
