The number of adults in the UK who are experiencing some level of depression has doubled since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Their survey, carried out over a 12 month period found that one in five people appeared to have symptoms of depression, compared to one in 10 before the pandemic.

Those most likely to suffer have been women, people under the age of 40, and those with a disability.

  3. How many levels of depression where their? How many we have now? How do I find out what level I am at? How easy it to go up or down on this chart of levels of depression which I never heard of before? Do I get benefits if I reach a certain level? (Why double the levels just bcoz of a virus? Other things have happened…)
