Drive-in cinemas have been booming, for obvious reasons. But this one in New Jersey is also responding to the other big story of the year, by showcasing the work of black filmmakers like Jordan Peele and Spike Lee.
“I wanted to create an opportunity for black people to see themselves in a positive light,” says one of the owners.

This is a lovely idea. It’s been so long since I’ve been to the movies, if I lived in the States, I would have loved to go to one of these kinds of drive throughs if only for the experience. Also, my fiance is African American.
What about the white people that are killed but not put on news?
All these pathetic people in the comments. How does a drive in cinema, in the US, focused on the positive portrayal of black people pose a legitimate threat to Phillip & Susan in the UK? Serious question
